I've bought both my race bikes through Basalt Bike and Ski. Super knowledgeable staff with a top notch shop crew who certainly goes above and beyond to dial your bike in! I have had over 8 years of great service and nothing but good things to say about BBS.
I have been a customer for years, loved the old location but the new location along with the service area is very accessible. While most bike shops rely on sales and rentals I have found the service, especially with top end wrenches to be the best in the Valley. I have purchased several bikes and pairs of ski's over the years from Joel and his crew. I have had several very high end projects, and over the top builds done to my vision of one of a kind bikes. The staff has spent many hours with me to get the desired results at a competitive price. I also have seen many of the top riders in the valley also in the shop on many occasions. Its kinda a gathering place where everyone knows your name. Even new customers get personalized attention. Over the years my needs have been met without fail and I always send friends and my clients to Basalt Bike and Ski Charlie V.
My son is a serious mountain bike racer and Joel and his staff have been incredibly supportive, totally going the extra mile for him. BB&S is a top-notch shop all around - great service and great product. The best shop for cycle enthusiasts of all kinds in the Roaring Fork Valley.

Wow these guys are the best! At both locations, Aspen and Basalt, they were very helpful and very accomodating, especially when I wanted to try different skis in the middle of my rental period. In addition, their rental prices are much lower than four mountains.
