Pretty, peaceful place. Front gate is not automatic, manual & easy to unlatch & push open, just close it back when leaving.

This is a nice cemetery. It isn't very fancy and not a ton of care appears to go into it, but since I moved to Basalt, CO (the town it is in), 8 years ago, it hasn't gotten any worse. On the 4th of July the roaring forl club nearby sets of fireworks and a good view of them.os at this cemetery, so a lot of Basalts residents to there. Fireworks are also set off from the roaring fork club on Christmas and New Years night a few hours before midnight, but those aren't as well attended. A nice entrance arch is at the entrance to the cemetery, there is roads to bring your cars up to the cemetery and there is a map of all the graves with graves marked on the map. The cemetery is always open to the public, and if a gate is closed it is often ok to open it. The cemetery also has a long history with some graves from people who died around the year 1900. There is also various people buried from various wars including one grave of a man who fought in the civil war.
